Description

Software for the analysis of slope stability in loose soil or rock using the traditional geotechnical methods (limit equilibrium), and the Discrete Element Method with which can give important information regarding the movements of the slope and examine the gradual failure. In seismic conditions the software performs both static and dynamic analysis. Optional modules: QSIM (Dynamic Analysis): Numerical method for the analysis of slope stability under seismic conditions for direct integration and modal superposition, using the method of Newmark (1965). Calculation of permanent displacements of the landslide mass by integration of relative acceleration. It is also possible to generate artificial accelerograms spectrum compatible with the algorithms: SIMQKE, Sabetta F., Pugliese A. Estimation of Response Spectra and Simulation of Nonstationary Earthquake Ground Motions. Slope 3D: Generation of 3D digital models from GIS, DXF or Text files. Importing files from SRTM (SRTM is a GeoStru free software on GEOAPP which allows you to generate a 3D model by simply selecting an area on Google Maps). The sections to be analyzed with SLOPE are created automatically and dynamically by moving on the three-dimensional model. DEM (Discrete Element Method): Advanced numerical model for the analysis of slope stability in static and dynamic conditions. Very sophisticated calculation model, with linear and non-linear analysis and distribution of stresses based on the ductile or brittle ground behavior. M.R.E. (Mechanically Reinforced Earth):Verification and design of reinforced earth retaining structures. Several verifications are carried out: pullout and breakage for reinforcements, type bar or stripes and geosynthetics, local stability (Tieback), global stability (Compound), rigid body sliding verification, load limit, overturning. Regulations provided:NTC, GRI (Geosynthetic Research Institute), BS8006/1995 ( Code of practice for strengthened/reinforced soils and other fills), FHWA (Federal Highway Administration).
