MSC scFLOW V14

Description

MSC scFLOW V14 Software Cradle Co., Ltd. today announced the latest version of its award winning CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software product portfolio, with V14. With one of the industry's highest customer satisfaction rates, Cradle CFD solutions have consistently managed to successfully blend state of the art CFD technology with practical tools that deliver real, tangible value to customers. V14 builds on this tradition, delivering valuable design insight for designers, engineers and architects in the aerospace, automotive, industrial machinery, process, utility & AEC industries, through the accurate simulation of coupled, complex fluid phenomena. MSC's vision for CFD is to deliver practical insights that enable users to drive design performance forward confidently. Primarily based on scFLOW and scSTREAM, the V14 release delivers hundreds of pragmatic enhancements in 5 key themes. - Co-Simulation Ready V14 integrates CFD with other simulation disciplines more closely than ever before. Building on the ability to tie CFD results to other disciplines, MSC Co-simulation, to be released later this year, provides seamlessly coupled co-simulation technology that closely integrate Cradle, Marc & Adams. Instead of simply just transferring forces, users will be able to truly construct a more complete view of the system design performance than ever before. - Blistering Meshing & Solving Performance V14 increases its leverage of the latest computing trends and technologies, delivering memory utilization and parallel processing improvements that, in some cases, would double capacity and performance. This enables customers to more easily and accurately define their simulation through improved meshing capabilities. A more diverse range of fluid phenomena can be more easily simulated than ever before, with unique functions including free surface, cavitation, liquid film, compressible fluid, and turbulence models. - Discrete Element Method (DEM) New innovative functions introduced in scSTREAM enable users to calculate complex particle fluid behaviour . DEM is becoming widely accepted as an effective method of addressing engineering problems in granular and discontinuous materials, especially in granular flows, powder mechanics, and rock mechanics. - Density based solutions improve Trans & Supersonic capabilities The new simultaneous, density based solver enables users to more efficiently and accurately solve high speed, transonic and supersonic air flow, along with the associated phenomena such as shockwaves & turbulence. In industry-standardized tests, the calculation time in some cases were reduced by as much as 50% or more, compared with alternative solutions. - Award Winning Post Processing & results visualization. With the support of MSC Nastran and Marc results, CFD's award winning post processing capabilities are now available to a new set of users, further delivering on MSC's integrated vision. Amongst other benefits, this unique ability enables users to visualize both CFD and structural simulation results together in a single environment, delivering a more complete view of design performance. About scFLOW. The new generation CFD software, scFLOW, has been developed to become the state-of-the-art tool with the breadth of new technologies and simple, practical features. The software is currently equipped with the new Solver with stability and three times faster calculation speed (at maximum) than before, as well as the new Preprocessor which helps entry-level users build complicated models and high-quality mesh. The software keeps on evolving.
