Sigmadyne SigFit 2026: Optomechanical Analysis & Coupling Software

SigFit 2026 is Sigmadyne's optomechanical analysis software for integrating mechanical predictions with optical analysis. The latest release, SigFit 2026R2, requires license server software 11.19.9.0 and a new-format license file . Version 2026R1 can run with either the new or old license format, and current customers received new _rev1 license files in June 2026 .

Core Capabilities

Surface Fitting & Interpolation

  • Fits Zernike, Annular Zernike, Aspheric, XY, Forbes, Fourier-Legendre, and Legendre polynomials to deformed surfaces .

  • Calculates rigid-body motions, polynomial coefficients, residual surface RMS, and Peak-to-Valley values .

  • Writes input files for CODE V, ZEMAX, and OSLO .

  • Interpolates between finite element models and test interferogram arrays .

Dynamic Response Simulates harmonic, random, and transient vibration; calculates wavefront errors, line-of-sight (LoS) jitter, MTF loss, and modal contributions
Adaptive Control Optimizes actuator placement and stroke to minimize surface RMS; supports genetic optimization
Optimization Interface Writes Zernike coefficients and RMS/P-V as Nastran-format equations; enables optomechanical optimization
Thermo-Optic & Stress-Optic Computes OPD due to dn/dT and stress-induced birefringence from FEA results
