Frontline Genesis 2000 v10.2

Description

Graphic Editor New Short Slot Compensation Function The new Short slots compensation option in the Edit > Change menu enables you to run the short slot compensation process from the Graphic Editor, allowing you to add compensation, in length or angle, for slots that are considered “too short”. You create more accurate slots, and can verify and repair results in the Graphic Editor before the data are output. For details, see “Enable Short Slot Compensation in Graphic Editor” on page 19. New Mode By-Line in Feature to Drill Pattern A new working mode, By-Line, was added to the Feature to Drill Pattern operation. This mode enables you to create sequences of pads which will be located on line or arc skeletons without duplicate pads at the connection point that belong to the two connected polyline segments/arcs. For details, see “Feature to Drill Pattern: New Mode By-Line” on page 16. Convert Text Block to Real Text: New Option in Add Feature Popup The new option Insert text into selected features limits was added to the Add Feature Popup. This new option enables automatic creation of a text string that matches the limits of selected features. For details, see “Add Feature Popup: Convert Text Block to Real Text” on page 30. Enhancements to Features Filter Filter Text by Text Line Width - A new option to filter text features by text line width was added to the Text tab of the Advanced Feature Popup. For details, see “Filter Text by Text Line Width” on page 37. Define Slot Length as Edge to Edge - The new option By edges in the Features Filter Popup enables you to define the length of a slot (line or oval pad) from edge to edge. For details, see “Define Slot Length as Edge to Edge” on page 38. Auto Drill Manager Support for MM Units Enabled in ADM Machine File The new parameter units = [inch, mm] was implemented in the ADM machine file. This new parameter defines the unit of measurement (metric or imperial) for all unit-sensitive values. To maintain backwards compatibility, if the units parameter is omitted, all unit-sensitive values are considered as imperial (mils and inches). Note If the units parameter is defined as mm in the machine file, this machine file should not be used by earlier versions of Genesis, as the earlier versions will read all unit-sensitive values as inch without any notification. Export Summary Tool Table to a Local File As of version 10.2, the summary drill tools parameter report generated by the Tools Table Popup can be exported to a local file by using the new LMC ncd_tool_sum_report. The same report may be created as a text file by using ncd_tool_sum_report in a script. Script example COM ncd_tool_sum_report, stage=1, split=1, path=D:/tmp/report.txt Generates this report file
