ANSYS SpaceClaim 2026 R1
SpaceClaim is a program for creating and editing solid 3D models, primarily intended for engineers who need to contribute to product development but who do not currently use any of the “primary” MCAD systems. The program can work with most 3D MCAD system formats and also store data in its own fully open format based on XML technology. The SpaceClaim system can complement the functionality of NX and increase user efficiency. In addition, SpaceClaim contributes to the growth of the company's overall efficiency by extending all the benefits of 3D to all participants in the process. This optimizes the product design process and improves information exchange, which leads to a reduction in the number of iterations during design and accelerates product time to market. SpaceClaim provides engineers with a new level of flexibility in the design process. Improvements in SpaceClaim 2017 include enhanced sheet metal capabilities and the following options:
- Mechanism placement conditions support contact, ball joints, and gears.
- Direct 3D placement of points, lines, and slots.
- Expanded sheet metal options, such as a new library and new shapes, flat templates that can be bent into three-dimensional objects, lightweight configurations, and engraving.
- Select components by size to quickly clean up the assembly of unnecessary components.
