Overview of AFT Impulse

This robust dynamic simulation and analysis software calculates pressure surge transients caused by water hammers in liquid piping systems. It evaluates the effect of pressure surges due to vapor cavity collapse by modeling vapor cavitation and liquid column separation.

You can reduce surge magnitudes by adjusting systems component transients such as valve closure time or pump speed and quickly animate or visualize a water hammer event to improve fundamental understanding.

It calculates transient unbalanced forces, defines forces sets as location pairs or single points and automatically highlights output values out of range for flow, peak pressure, velocity, and more.
