BENTLEY Building Electrical Systems

::::::English Description::::::

Bentley has just released Bentley Building Electrical Systems V8 XM Edition, which provides for the design and engineering, documentation, and management of electrical power, lighting, fire detection, communications, security, and other building subsystems. The software is used by consulting engineers, contractors, owners, and facility managers of commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.

Bentley Building Electrical Systems V8 XM Edition builds on the key design and document production features of the 2004 Edition, which include:

  • Automated symbol placement
  • Circuiting and labeling
  • Raceway design
  • Cable/circuit routing and management
  • Automated generation of riser diagrams and drawing legends

By taking advantage of the powerful and innovative new features in MicroStation V8 XM Edition, the newest release of Bentley Building Electrical Systems raises the bar for electrical Building Information Modeling (BIM). New features of Bentley Building Electrical Systems V8 XM Edition include:

  • An enhanced graphical user interface, including right-click menus and transparency for clearances
  • 3D symbol libraries with more than 8000 raceway fittings and equipment models in Parasolid format
  • MicroStation light-source cells for photorealistic rendering
  • Clearance envelopes for electrical raceway and busway systems
  • Many other tools to boost user productivity

Bentley Building Electrical Systems V8 Edition’s user interface can easily be customized for power and casual users. The right-click menus include electrical application commands for greater design productivity. Users can work in 3D shaded or rendered mode while designing systems and can display transparent clearance envelopes to meet code and working-clearance requirements.

The Parasolid symbol libraries provide increased performance for 3D model display. Also, the ability to attach MicroStation light-source cells to Bentley Building Electrical Systems fixtures lets users create photorealistic renderings based on IES luminaire data.
