Bentley RAM Concept 2025

Description

Bentley RAM Concept 2025

Bentley RAM Concept 2025 is the advanced structural analysis and design software from Bentley Systems for post-tensioned and conventionally reinforced concrete floors, including slabs, mats, rafts, and foundations. This release (noted in December 2025 updates) focuses on code compliance enhancements and improved analysis accuracy, making it ideal for complex floor systems in high-rise buildings, parking structures, industrial facilities, and transfer slabs. RAM Concept provides exceptional visibility into design compliance, efficiency, and practicality through finite element analysis (FEA), automated tendon layout, detailed reinforcement design, and comprehensive output reporting—empowering engineers to design reliably, reduce iterations, and save time/costs.

The 2025 version introduces support for the latest ACI 318/320-25 design code, alongside refinements for shear design handling and other practical improvements, ensuring alignment with current standards and real-world performance.

Key Features of Bentley RAM Concept 2025

  • ACI 318/320-25 Code Support: Full integration of the updated ACI 318-25 (Building Code Requirements for Structural Concrete) and ACI 320-25 (Post-Tensioned Concrete) provisions for accurate strength, serviceability, and durability checks.
  • Improved Shear Design Handling: Enhanced treatment of hyperstatic axial tension in shear calculations; better accuracy for post-tensioned and reinforced concrete elements under complex loading.
  • Post-Tensioned & Reinforced Design: Automated tendon layout, profile optimization, and balancing; detailed PT design including equivalent frame, strip, and finite element methods; conventional rebar detailing for beams, columns, slabs, and walls.
  • Advanced Finite Element Analysis: High-fidelity FEA for irregular geometries, openings, drop panels/caps, steps, and supports (walls, columns, springs); handles large models with efficient solvers.
  • Load & Load Combination Management: Automatic generation and application of gravity, lateral (wind/seismic), and pattern loading; comprehensive combinations per code requirements.
  • Deflection & Serviceability Checks: Long-term deflection analysis considering creep, shrinkage, and cracking; immediate and sustained service checks for cracking, vibration, and camber.
  • Punching Shear & Detail Checks: Robust punching shear analysis/design with perimeter reinforcement; support for drop caps, shear reinforcement (studs/rails), and integrity reinforcement.
  • Modeling Flexibility: Arbitrary slab shapes, openings, thickened zones, and supports; easy model modifications with powerful automation tools.
  • Output & Reporting: Clearly organized results with contour plots, diagrams, tables, and design summaries; export to Word/PDF for documentation and collaboration.
