General Macro information: A Macro is a user defined “template” stored in a catalog. For example, your organization has standardized device arrangements for different types of switch racks. In this case, you can create an electrical device arrangement for each type and store it as a macro in your catalog. To promote consistency across designs and projects, users can select and place desired macro (template) from the catalog rather than performing device arrangements separately for each occurrence of same switch rack.

To prevent duplicated electrical devices tags, an Engineering Design Consideration now appears in the event of device tag duplication when placing macros.
