Leica Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS v2026.1
Leica Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS v2026.1: Laser Scanning Registration Software
Cyclone REGISTER 360 PLUS v2026.1 is the latest service release of Leica Geosystems' point cloud registration software, focusing on stability enhancements and improved workflows for managing survey data, GeoTags, and panoramic imagery . This version includes several key updates that refine the user experience and expand functionality.
Key New Features & Enhancements in v2026.1
1. Enhanced GeoTag Functionality
The new GeoTag system provides greater precision and context for spatial data . Users can now assign GeoTags to Predefined Categories (e.g., Fire Safety Equipment) with configurable value lists, or use Free Text Categories for custom information like "Next inspection date" . Multiple assets, including files, links, and multimedia, can now be attached to a single GeoTag, and this structure is fully supported in LGSx exports for compatibility with other Leica tools .
2. Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements
This release resolves several issues to ensure smoother workflows :
-
Panoramic Images: Fixed an issue where the
setupinfo.csvfile generated during export contained incorrect Setup names . -
SiteMaps: Resolved an issue where SiteMaps appeared in a different order after creating a Finalized Registration .
-
Multi-Selection: Fixed a minor issue that blocked multi-selection for certain data type combinations in the Navigator panel (e.g., BLK ARC WayPoints with standard Setups) .
-
DXF Orthoimages: Corrected a problem where the scale bar in orthoimages exported as DXF files appeared mirrored .
-
TruSlicer View: Fixed a bug in SiteMaps where activating the TruSlicer view shifted the view to the center, causing the selected Bundle to disappear .
3. Support for Unstructured Setups and Mobile Data
The software supports importing and managing Unstructured Setups, which are standalone data units containing unstructured point clouds from various sources like TLS, mobile laser scanners, and photogrammetry . This allows flexible integration of data from formats such as LGS, LGSx, PTS, and E57 . Mobile data, including tracks from Leica BLK kinematic scanners (e.g., BLK2GO), can be imported and edited within the software .
4. Target and Control Workflows
Users can now import control data and adjust target heights directly within the software, streamlining the alignment of survey data with ground control points (GCPs) . This feature, introduced in version 2025.0.0, allows users to account for target pole heights without modifying the Z-values in the control file . Additionally, the Auto B&W Target option is now fully functional
