Description

CADmeister is a hybrid modeler supporting wire-frame, surface and solid modeling. CADmeister provides a flexible modeling environment free from the difference of data model, including the capability that enables set operations between surface models and solid models. Function overview 3 outstanding features Seamless interoperability between surface and solid CADmeister enables the creation of a model consisting of wire frame, surface, and solid altogether, without requiring any changes on the operation environment. The set operation of union, subtraction, and intersection is executable not only between the solids, but also between the solids and surfaces. Seamless interoperability between surface and solid Flexible operation mode change between parametric and non-parametric The parametric capability enables easy engineering change, design of a standard part with various nominal dimensions, and repeat design using an existing model. The operation mode can be changed freely between parametric and non-parametric. Starting parametric modeling using data imported from an IGES file is acceptable. A design work that has proceeded to a certain stage under the parametric mode can be changed to the non-parametric mode. Thus, a design work can be carried out flexibly without paying attention to a parametric design procedure. Flexible operation mode change between parametric and non-parametric Flexible customizability With hundreds of parameters that enable detailed environment settings, CADmeister can be flexibly customized to satisfy the needs of a customer. The capability to create user’s own command using the VisualBasic language and dedicated scripts enables the customers to store their own accumulated design know-how in a database and use it in CADmeister. Surface and solid capability Solid capability Solid modeling is suitable for basic shape creation. CADmeister supports the creation of various kinds of solid shapes including draft bodies, cylinders, cones, and spirals. A variable fillet can be created easily. Filleting Fillet gradation Even to the location where multiple fillets join together, a surface can be created by specifying a fillet and executing one command. Fillet gradation Automatic filleting This capability automatically finds the ridge lines of a specified solid and creates fillets on them. This capability is useful to create fillets on the ridge lines that have no specific fillet radius value specification. If an R value is specified for the ridge lines in advance, multiple fillets with specified R values can be created on multiple locations at once. Automatic filleting Collective fillet creation When multiple fillets with the same radius value need to be created on various locations, such fillets can be created by executing one command. Branch fillet This capability enables to create a fillet easily on a place where multiple boundary lines join together. Offsetting A sophisticated offsetting can be done even for complicated shapes. Even if offsetting of some area cannot be carried out due to a problem of surface quality, CADmeister can offset the rest by automatically recognizing the possible areas. Measurement and evaluation capability Measurement This capability provides the functions to check draft angles, calculate volumes, and measure distances between lines and surfaces.
