All cost databases have been reviewed and updated to incorporate
current unit rates, exchange rates and man hour costs for all regions to
reflect first quarter (Q1) 2023 prices.
The technical enhancements made to QUE$TOR 2023 Q1 are outlined
below. These changes have been made at the request of users and
through internal review. We actively encourage feedback from users as
a means of improving the functionality, accuracy, and ease of use of
the program.
If you are new to QUE$TOR, please read the installation procedure and
licensing section in this document prior to installation of the program.
General upgrades in QUE$TOR 2023 Q1
In response to user feedback the following features have been
implemented in QUE$TOR 2023 Q1.
l Uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and battery system
l Updates to the greenhouse gas emissions report
l Drilling casing additions
l Downhole pressure temperature gauge fittings for subsea
production Xmas trees

Uninterruptible battery system

power

supply

(UPS)

and

UPS and battery system options have been added to the Production
facility, Terminal and Topsides power forms. This system is intended to
mitigate temporary interruptions in power supply to provide
uninterrupted power to systems which require protection from surges
or power outages. When main power is interrupted the electrical load is
transferred onto the UPS invertor and battery power storage.
By default, the UPS is always selected and is sized for the base power
load necessary for maintaining critical safety and control systems for a
period of approximately 1 hour. However, the UPS can be sized to be
used to provide limited emergency power for higher demand systems
whilst transitioning to emergency power systems (these larger systems
are currently uncommon and so data has been extrapolated until
suitable benchmarks can be found).
The new UPS and battery system functionality are visible on the
updated Production facility, Terminal, and Topsides power forms as
shown in the Topsides power form in Figure 1.
