QCoherent LP360 2018

Description

QCoherent LP360 2018

Whether from airborne LIDAR or drone collected imagery, 3D point clouds have become a critical element in mapping. LP360, an advanced desktop software, makes easy work of extracting information and deriving products from point clouds in standalone or ArcGIS environment.

Visualization
Comprehensive visualization is a core element of analyzing point clouds. LP360 gives the ability to not only see your world in 3D but to answer questions previously requiring field acquisition techniques. Points can be displayed by intensity, color value, elevation and classification. Rendering modes include points, a surface model triangulated irregular network (TIN), wireframe and combinations of points on surfaces. Surface “sun” shading is also supported. Contours are dynamically generated and displayed. Viewing windows include plan (map) view, profile (cross section) and 3D.

Use the many display combinations in LP360 to save time and money by getting your questions answered from the office.

Seamless Management of Thousands of LAS Files
Due to the size of these extremely powerful data many GIS professionals are unable to gain the maximum advantage from them. LP360’s advanced display techniques have solved this barrier. Overcoming this obstacle is just one of the ways LP360 brings the benefits of LIDAR to the GIS desktop.

Extensive Quality Check Tools
There is nothing worse than discovering issues with your data months after you have taken possession. Even if using public data, it is a good idea to run quality checks to better understand the data characteristics—especially as some workflows require specific data characteristics and quality levels.

Using a UAV to collect data?  LP360 includes tools for testing both the horizontal and vertical accuracy of point clouds and orthomosaics. A report generator is included, allowing you to deliver an accuracy report as part of the customer deliverables.

With LP360’s extensive Quality Check toolset, identify problems in a timeframe that prevents costly errors and ensures that you have the quality data you need.
Import/Export Wizard for Multiple Formats
LP360’s Export Wizard gives you the ability to generate the products you need on an ad hoc basis to give you a solution tailored to your exact needs.

Derivative Product Generation
LP360 includes an extensive set of tools for creating derivative products. The digital elevation model (DEM) tools allow users to set the grid spacing and interpolation methods. Project-wide contours can be exported at user specified intervals and labeling. Contour smoothing can be applied for cartographic applications. Additional products include slope, aspect, hill shade and intensity rasters.

Interactive and Automatic Classification Tools
Regardless if you are a LIDAR production organization needing to manually edit classifications created from automatic routines or a GIS organization that needs to implement a few corrections, LP360’s interactive classification tools are fast and easy to learn.

Classification of data is an important data preparation step prior to volumetric analysis and ground digital elevation model (DEM) generation. Conveyor systems overhanging stockpiles are classified prior to volumetric analysis to allow them to be excluded from the volume computations. In addition to interactive tools, LP360 includes utility “Point Cloud Tasks” for classifying height above ground, moving one class to another class, and generating classification statistics.

The LP360 automatic Ground Classification is a configurable point cloud task (PCT) that allows for comprehensive classification of flat or hilly terrain. The Model Key Points (MKP) Point Cloud task intelligently thins the dataset to create surface models with a user specified vertical accuracy using fewer points where possible to define flat or sloped areas.
