RMODEL-2539 Ability to create sub-models from groups of objects on the model network canvas The user now has the ability to group multiple canvas objects into a sub-model. This sub-model can be part of other submodel( s), with no limitation on the number of times that they can be encapsulated. The behaviour described in RMODEL-2511 is also applicable to these sub-models, so it is possible to replace a sub-model by another sub-model or library model if the correct conditions are met. RMODEL-2511 Replaceable object support - Ability to replace a network object with a different network object You may now perform a GUI operation which will result in an element in the model being replaced by a newly created one in-place. The new element can be of a different class to the old one. All connections to a connector named A in the old element will be replaced by connections to connector A in the new element (with the same set of links in them) if the new element contains a connector named A. The position in the tree and properties on the canvas (position, rotation, scale) will be copied over to the new element. No other properties of the old element are preserved. In the GUI, the operation is accessible from the RMB context menu of the element. This menu item opens a modal dialog which displays the library tree inside it, allowing the user to select the replacement element. The “Search” box of the library tree is also present in the dialog. This option is only available when a single element is selected.
