Description
Siemens Simcenter FEMAP 2606.0001 with NX Nastran
Femap is a CAD-independent pre- and post-processor from Siemens PLM Software for performing finite element analysis (FEA). Femap serves as the interface between the user and the solver—the core that performs the calculations in engineering analysis problems. The Femap system, integrated with the NX Nastran solver, is part of the Velocity Series product line and serves as an independent, full-featured environment for modeling, simulation, and evaluation of product performance analysis results. Femap 11.3 x64, based on the NX Nastran 10p2 x64 solver, enables the analysis of the dynamics and strength of structures, machines, and structures; solve transient nonlinear spatial problems, problems in composite mechanics and composite structures, structural and manufacturing mechanics; perform heat transfer analysis; and solve problems in fluid mechanics and gas mechanics, as well as related multidisciplinary problems.
The core Femap modules with NX Nastran enable the performance of key types of engineering analysis, such as linear static analysis, frequency and mode analysis, buckling analysis, steady-state and transient heat transfer analysis, and basic nonlinear analysis capabilities. Basic nonlinear analysis accounts for nonlinearities such as geometric nonlinearities (large deformations, displacements, tracking loads) and physical nonlinearities (accounting for nonlinear materials—plasticity, creep, viscoelasticity), as well as contact interactions.
