Accelrys Materials Studio is a comprehensive materials modeling and simulation application designed for scientists in chemicals and materials research and development as well as pharmaceuticals development. Materials Studio is available in two parts: a) a locally run client installed on the user's machine that runs the visualizer and the suite of applications, and b) a server-based gateway that runs on the RCC clusters the client can submit larger jobs to. The Accelrys Materials Studio client is only available for Windows platforms. These clients can connect to the Linux based gateway currently running on the clusters. Overview Accelrys Materials Studio is a software application that brings a comprehensive set of validated materials modelling and simulation methods to the researcher's desktop. The researcher interacts with the locally run desktop application and can choose to run the integrated applications either locally or submit them to an RCC batch cluster.
