Trimble has released Tekla Structural Design Suite 2026 SP2 is structural analysis and 3D design software for multimaterial buildings.

Trimble introduced the Tekla software version 2026 for building information modeling (BIM), structural engineering and steel fabrication management, with workflow updates intended to improve data sharing between design and construction. The release is designed to support the design-to-detailing process by reducing manual work and rework, while allowing users to handle more complex tasks without having to move as often between separate applications.

The 2026 portfolio, which includes Tekla Structures, Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Tedds and Tekla PowerFab, is designed to improve data sharing across projects. The software supports connected workflows among stakeholders by linking project information across models, drawings and field data. Users can view project status in 3D models, synchronize data across connected workflows, and access updated information across the office, shop and site.

Tekla Structural Designer 2026: design task updates
– Center of rigidity calculation: A new calculation method for seismic design replaces earlier approximations.
– Integrated portal frame design: The update adds portal frame design for industrial low-rise buildings under Eurocode, along with masonry design updates for North American users.
– Interoperability: Interoperability with Revit and SketchUp has been expanded. Tekla Structures models can also be published to the cloud and imported into Tekla Structural Designer for verification.
Tekla Tedds 2026: calculation updates
– New and expanded calculations: For US users, a new Steel Beam Torsion calculation based on AISC 360 supports torsional design. For Eurocode users, a Wind Assessment calculation automates wind pressure analysis for building sites.
– Access to Tekla Structural Designer LT: Tekla Tedds subscriptions now include access to a starter version of Tekla Structural Designer for selected 3D analysis tasks.
