ASDIP Structural Software announces the release of ASDIP RETAIN 6 engineering software. Design professionals utilize ASDIP RETAIN software for the design of retaining walls and sheet piling. The following are some of the most important features and benefits included in this version 6.

This new version includes five modules:

• Cantilever Retaining Wall Design – The stem material can be either concrete or masonry. The program accepts a number of load cases, such as surcharge (strap, uniform and/or concentrated), wind, and seismic. Graphical results. Construction images with the rebars.
• Counterfort Retaining Wall Design – Easy modeling and interpretation of results. Multiple load types and load cases. Results sorted by load combination. Either soil supported or pile supported. Lateral pressures are calculated either per Rankine, Coulomb, or Equivalent Fluid theories.
• Basement Retaining Wall Design – Up to two-stories can be modeled. Multiple load types and load cases. Either pinned or fixed base. Graphical generation of the shear, and moment diagrams. Multiple options to customize the design. Excellent quality pre-formatted reports of condensed and detailed calculations.
• Sheet Pile Retaining Wall Design – Cantilever and anchored types. Up to four layers of soul properties can be modeled. Graphical generation of the wall pressures, the combined loading diagram, shear, moment, and deflection diagrams. Immediate calculation of embedment depth.
• Gravity Retaining Wall Design – The stem material can be either plain concrete or rubble masonry. The program accepts a number of load cases, such as surcharge, concentrated loads, wind, and seismic. Graphical results. Construction images with dimensions.
