SolidWorks 2017 SP1 Premium Functionality SOLIDWORKS Costing integration with MySolidWorks SOLIDWORKS Costing is integrated with the MySolidWorks Manufacturing Network. You can cost parts by selecting manufacturers on the MySolidWorks.com Manufacturing Network website. Cost estimates are limited to sheet metal parts that are manufactured using standard cut and bend type operations such as laser, waterjet, plasma, and brake operations. Compatibility with SOLIDWORKS PDM Products Starting with SOLIDWORKS PDM 2017, the service pack for SOLIDWORKS PDM client can be different than the service pack for SOLIDWORKS PDM Server as long as they are the same major version. SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional 2017 supports SOLIDWORKS 2017, 2016, and 2015. SOLIDWORKS PDM Standard 2017 supports SOLIDWORKS 2017 only. The combination of a newer version of SOLIDWORKS and an older version of SOLIDWORKS PDM is not supported. SOLIDWORKS 3D Interconnect This functionality is currently available in SOLIDWORKS 2017 as a Beta feature. Support for each Beta version of SOLIDWORKS 3D Interconnect that is included with a Service Pack ends when the next Service Pack is released. Each Service Pack will include updates to SOLIDWORKS 3D Interconnect. SOLIDWORKS Premium customers who enable 3D Interconnect can open CATIA V5 models without purchasing a separate CATIA V5 Translator license. SOLIDWORKS 3D Interconnect is currently disabled by default. To enable the Beta version of SOLIDWORKS 3D Interconnect, select Tools-Options-System Options-Import. Under “File Format”, choose the native cad formats “Inventor/CATIA V5/Creo/NX/SolidEdge”. Select “Enable 3D Interconnect (Beta Version)” and then read and accept the 3D Interconnect License Agreement. Click Tools > Options > System Options > Import. In File Format, select Inventor/CATIA V5/Creo/NX/SolidEdge. Select Enable 3D Interconnect (Beta Version). Read and accept the 3D Interconnect License Agreement. In the System Options dialog box, click OK.
