In SOLIDWORKS Assemblies 2024, useful feature updates have been made to the insert component tool. When selecting a configuration, not only is the configuration name displayed, now the configuration description is also shown. Fix and float options are also included in the property manager. We can choose only fix the first component, fix, or float unanswered. Also notable are updates to mate references, and creating mates, like a new option to 'create mates only when the names match' option. New in 2024 SOLIDWORKS Electrical, Auto-ballooning and BOM report table placement is available on the 2D panel layout page. Ranges can be used in the report instead of listing all marks. Objects can be moved with arrow keys. Auxiliary and Accessory components can be filtered out the of 3D components tree.
