PowerINSPECT CNC 2014 contains the following new features and enhancements: Calibration quality (see page 3) — Calibration now includes the ability to record the details of the calibration spheres used in inspections. In addition, you can specify calibration tolerances so that PowerINSPECT CNC can identify when calibrations have met the required level of accuracy. Selecting CAD models (see page 9) — The New Document Wizard has been extended to allow multi-selection of files in the Open dialog. From Point Cloud alignment (see page 11) — A new option in the Alignment From Point Cloud dialog enables you to create an alignment using only part of the cloud. Scanning point clouds (see page 13) — The CAD view automatically matches the orientation of the probe during measurement so you do not have to adjust the view manually. Dynamic points (see page 15) — The Dynamic Points toolbar has been extended to allow the export of points to file. The format of the export file has been expanded to allow the export and import of edge points. Importing edge points (see page 17) — The Tools > Import points menu includes a new option for creating a guided edge point group from a file of points. Sorting inspection points (see page 20) — A new option in the context menu of the Sequence Tree enables you to undo the last sort applied to an inspection point group. Probe substitution (see page 21) — The Probe Change Wizard has been reinstated and redesigned to work with Probe and Parameters items.
