Innovmetric PolyWorks v12

Description

PolyWorks V12 is now packaged within a single unified MSI file. Plug-ins and the CATIA V5 DLLs are now integrated in the standard MSI file. Therefore, the separate MSI files for plug-ins and CATIA V5 no longer exist. After the release of V12, intermediate V12.0.X versions delivering bug fixes and software enhancements will be packaged within a single executable file. The separate executable files for plug-ins and CATIA V5 no longer exist.  The first four menus of IMInspectTM, IMEditTM, IMAlignTM, and IMSurveyTM are now File, Edit, Select, and View. This order is typical to several popular engineering applications.  The File menu has been restructured to offer a common structure to all modules.  In each module, only the core functionalities are now directly mapped onto a main menu entry. Auxiliary tools are now available through the Tools menu. For example:  The three core functionalities of IMInspect and IMSurvey are the alignment of Data objects to Reference objects, the inspection of measured parts by means of measurement objects, and the generation of inspection reports. As a result, these modules offer the Align, Measure, and Report entries on their main menu bar. The Tools menu provides access to operations specific to Reference, Data, and Coordinate System objects, Annotations, Plug-ins, Device Positions, Commands, Macro Scripts, Visual Layouts, etc. Enhanced object management  A new object tree view component has been developed and integrated in all modules that delivers a common look and feel across PolyWorks. The new object tree view component offers several enhancements compared to the V11 tree view:  Users can now middle-click a branch to show/hide all objects under the branch.  Users can now left-click and drag a rectangular box to select tree view objects.  A red indicator is now displayed while performing object drag & drop operations to indicate the new object location in the tree view.  By default, the new object tree view does not display empty branches and object indices, as shown in Figure 1.2. Two new check boxes have been added to the Display page of the modules’ Options interface:  The 'Show empty branches' check box enables the display of all branches at all times.  The 'Show object indices' check box enables the display of object indices, which are useful when developing a macro script.
