The software developer Type3 has unveiled Type3 CAA V5 Based version 5.5 Suite is the only add-on available in CATIA environment for text creation and mapping.

TYPE3-CAA is a fully integrated add-on to CATIA Software from Dassault Systemes. Available with CATIA V5 & 3DEXPERIENCE, TYPE3-CAA allows CATIA users to easily create parametric text inside CATIA, to vectorize images, and to project or map them on any 3D CATpart. Founded in 1988, TYPE3 an Industrial Artistic CAD CAM Software Solutions Editor released its first version of TYPE EDIT. Then the company provided a variation of its solutions by proposing its main features to other CAD companies. Developed in partnership with Dassault Systèmes since 2003, TYPE3-CAA is an add-on to CATIA, and offers design and construction engineers a wide range of professional tools to enhance industrial parts with serial numbers, text, logos, legal information, specs… directly within the PLM process of CATIA V5 or 3DEXPERIENCE. Finally in 2009 TYPE3 became the Software division of Gravotech group well known for his CNC & Laser Machines.
