Bureau.Veritas.VeriSTAR.Optimise.v3.01.6 The new version of Optimise combines the detailed capabilities of traditional RAM software with shipping simulation. Software upgrades include a modern, custom user interface that is intuitive making model building of complicated scenarios a simpler task. Thus, key critical parameters for subsea development such as production profile or failure modes are now easy to model. Development of sensitivity cases with Optimise will allow to adapt the maintenance strategy for the wells or other subsea process equipment in order to get the best availability. It will also allow operators to plan the OPEX related to the Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (IMR) Vessels or drilling rig to be mobilised. Only part of the solution to improve subsea equipment reliability while optimising maintenance costs can be found in the international standards. RAM analysis becomes one of the most powerful methods to assist companies in Offshore field development optimisation. RAM studies will allow understanding of the reliability based interactions within the subsea field and will provide the design team with a tool for quantifying system performance, identifying the critical aspects of the design and allow the impact of varying design, operations and specially maintenance criteria to be understood. It will ensure the process design is safe, reliable and that production availability will not be impacted by specific bottleneck.
