Web

通过有ActiveX 支持的Internet Explorer(对于 WinCC/Web Navigator V7.0,需要 MS Internet Explorer V7.0或更高版本),该客户机可操作和监视运行中的WinCC项目,而在这台计算机上不必有WinCC基本系统。

在这样的情况下,Web客户机和 Data@Monitor客户机以相同的方式计算(参阅第9页);然而,这二种设备需要各自的授权。你可以使用任何你喜欢的不同的Data@Monitor Web Edition套件工具的任何组合;

Web Navigator

::::::English Description::::::

WinCC/Web Navigator allows you to visualize and operate your plant via the Internet or your company‘s Intranet or LAN – without needing changes in the WinCC project.

This means that the Web Navigator offers the same archive display, operator input and access options as the local operator stations. This also means that the displayed process pictures can contain Visual Basic  scripts for dynamic sequences, that you can access WinCC user archives, that  the system now supports operator messages on the web client and that the operator stations on the Web are integrated into the local user management.
Employing the new version of the WinCC/Web Navigator, you can also use Basic Process Control on the Web Navigator client, which offers additional objects and configuration tools to allow you to easily implement typical instrumentation and control technology requirements.

Apart from typical uses of the Web Navigator in the Wide Area Network (WAN) field, you can also use the Web Navigator for applications that must be implemented with a minimum cash investment. This includes in particular applications that have a highly distributed structure (water / sewage), or in which there is only intermittent accessing of process information (building management).

  • High security standards

Web-Server und -Clients

The WinCC/Web Navigator consists of server components for the Web Navigator Server and of client components that must be installed on the Web Navigator Client computer on the Internet/Intranet. The web-server can be  a WinCC single-user station or any station in a WinCC Client/Server configuration. The client makes possible operating and monitoring of an ongoing WinCC project by means of an Internet browser with ActiveX support (for example MS Internet Explorer V6.0 or higher). As the WebNavigator client supports the terminal service of Windows 2000, Thin client solutions with mobile devices (e.g. PDA, MOBIC T8) and rugged on-site terminals (e.g. MP370 Touch) under Windows CE 3.0 can be realized.

Licenses of your choice

You can install the Web Navigator client software free of any licensing fees. To use the Web Navigator server, you need an appropriate (standard) license. There are licenses for 3, 10, 25 or 50 clients accessing the Web server at the same time (Web Navigator- or Dat@Monitor-Clients).,
Diagnostics clients have guaranteed access to all Web servers with standard license or a cost-minimized Diagnostics Server license. Diagnostics clients are ideally suited for system integrators who are responsible for maintaining and servicing systems that are widely scattered.

Dedicated Web-Server

Starting with the Web Navigator V6.0, the Web server can also be installed on a WinCC client as a separate project
(dedicated web server). This makes possible distributed systems, in which the Web server simultaneously accesses up to 12 WinCC servers (also central archive servers).  All relevant screens and project functions are published by all subordinated WinCC servers on the dedicated Web server. For this, the Remote Publisher can be employed, which can be installed on any WinCC station without a Web server. With it, data can be published from any WinCC computer to a remote Web server. It is not necessary for the configurator to be present onsite - he/she can create, edit and publish screens from a remote WinCC configuration station.
The dedicated Web server also contributes to increased security by separating the Web server (at risk by attacks) from the WinCC production machine. Even if an attack stops the Web server, it will not result in an interruption of the process control or a loss of data.
If a dedicated Web server (on a WinCC client) is employed via redundant WinCC servers, this redundancy is also passed on to the Web clients. If a WinCC server fails, its redundant partner immediately takes over and no significant interruption of the process connection will be detectable at the Web clients.

Server farms with load balancing

If you need a very large number of Web operator stations at the same time, you can now configure server farms with several Web servers. For this, you need a load-balancing license for the Web servers involved. Load Balancing allows you to balance the load such that new Web clients are automatically assigned to the Web server with the lowest loading level at the time. In this connection, all the Web servers have access to the same WinCC project and can each have up to 50 Web clients assigned to them. This yields a total of several hundred operator stations on the Web. If the assigned Web server fails, the clients try to connect to another Web server in the server farm. You can also use this functionality for switching Web clients via redundant WinCC servers.

Web Navigator as Integration platform

The new Web Navigator navigation contains links to all Web-capable WinCC tools. This includes, among others, Scope, diagnostics pages and also download areas. It also integrates, if installed, Dat@Monitor tools and Web add-ons. Customers are able to easily expand this navigation by their own tools and Web servers.
A common navigation framework is created that makes it very easy for the user to utilize the various tools from a central location. For the expansion of WinCC configurations, a Plug-In Builderis used to create Web downloads. The user can package components as so-called Web-capable plug-ins and place them in the download area, from which they are available for installation by accessing Web clients. Version and installation information is managed client-specific. Files can include maintenance documents (DOC), process instructions (AVI), drawings (DXF) and reports (EMF, PDF).
